Provider approach

My approach is shaped by years of clinical work, ongoing training, and a deep belief that meaningful change happens through safety, connection, and trust. The therapeutic approach at Embodied Essence Therapy integrates Cognitive Modalities, Polyvagal Theory, and Post Traumatic Growth Somatic Therapy. Meaningful change happens when we begin to understand and create a flexible nervous system; therefore our nervous system serves as the foundation of the therapy work. In our work together, we will begin to notice your patterns without judgment. We build awareness of how your body signals safety, stress, or collapse. Over time, we work to increase your nervous system’s capacity for regulation, connection, and flexibility. This isn’t about forcing you to, “calm down” it’s about creating a system in which you naturally start to feel safer and more grounded. Our work together isn’t about creating someone new, it is about embodying the essence of who you have always been.

What a session feels like: Some sessions are insight oriented and reflective. Other times the session focuses more on slowing down and noticing sensations. Sometimes we sit and talk. Sometimes we sit with what’s emerging, and there is room for both. We work at a speed that your system can tolerate, and we always honor your systems signals. You will never be pushed to share more than what feels safe.
